A little more about me
My acupuncture qualifications
I hold a Licenciate in Acupuncture (LicAc) and BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture. I graduated from the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) in Reading and am trained in both Five Element and Traditional Chinese Medicine. As a full member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), I am fully insured and adhere to a strict code of ethics, hygiene, discipline and confidentiality. I am committed to continual professional development.
My story
Prior to training as an acupuncturist I gained a BA (Hons) at Wimbledon School of Art and worked in London as a Lead Artist/Animator. After 10 years of working long and stressful hours in the computer industry I was feeling stressed and really down; I had developed Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) and also had backache and a lot of headaches. I had seen the positive effects of acupuncture treatment in colleagues and after treatments felt the benefits of acupuncture myself. I began to look more into this therapy that could work alongside Western medicine and that did not just treat the illness but was concerned with the person as a whole.
My goals
I am passionate about acupuncture and would like to make treatments more accessible, thereby allowing more people to experience its benefits. I have experience of and enjoy treating a broad range of conditions. Contact me for a free consultation to see whether acupuncture can help you.
